Flooding is possible - be prepared
River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Bradford on Avon river gauge as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. We believe there is still a possibility of flooding for Holt Road at Staverton. Further light showery rainfall is forecast for today Friday 17th January. However river levels have peaked and are not expected to rise further in response to this rainfall. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have erected temporary flood barriers and are in contact with community flood wardens and volunteers. Please contact your insurance company if you've been flooded and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated tomorrow morning 18/01/20, or as the situation changes.
