for Flood alert in force now Mid Bristol Avon Area

Flooding is possible - be prepared

River levels have peaked at the Bradford on Avon river gauge on the morning of the 25th of February at 10:00 and are beginning to fall. The risk of flooding is reduced but catchments remain saturated and rivers are very responsive to any rainfall. The likelihood of flooding for Holt Road at Staverton has also reduced. We continue to monitor the situation. Wednesday may see some showers but should be largely dry. Thursday onwards looks to be more unsettled as we head into the weekend. Our incident response staff are checking defences and clearing debris from weed screens. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast. This message will be updated on Wednesday, 26/02/2020, or as the situation changes.
