Flooding is possible - be prepared
Water levels in the River Dun continue to fall slowly following drier weather over the last 12 hours. Today (Monday 17/02/2020), small amounts of rain are forecast, but it won’t be enough for the river to flood property. Over the next 24 hours there will be significant out of bank flooding affecting land and roads at West Dean and Dunbridge. Tomorrow (18/02/2020) and through until Thursday (20/02/2020) rain is expected each day. Forecast rainfall totals are not large, but the river will be very sensitive to any further rainfall and it may still cause minor impact flooding. We continue to monitor the forecast. We would like residents to remain prepared for further flood impacts this week. This Flood Alert will be updated by 12:00 on 18/02/2020.
