Coronavirus (COVID-19): how we're protecting our flood warning service

for Flood alert in force now River Thames and its small tributaries from Calcutt to Lechlade

Flooding is possible - be prepared

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels have peaked on the River Thames and small tributaries following Storm Christoph. Therefore, flooding of low-lying land, footpaths and roads is expected to continue, especially in the Kempsford area. Overnight tonight and tomorrow (22/01/21) are expected to remain dry for most places. We expect river levels to remain high throughout the coming days in response to recent rainfall. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are in the area clearing weed/trash screens and operating weirs downstream to reduce flood risk. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 22/01/21, or as the situation changes.
