for Flood alert in force now River Thames and its small tributaries from Calcutt to Lechlade

Flooding is possible - be prepared

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are rising on the River Thames and small tributaries as a result of a period of sustained rainfall. Therefore, flooding of roads and farmland is possible overnight tonight 13/10/19. Flooding of properties is not forecast at this point. Following a drier night, further light rainfall is forecast tomorrow morning (14/10/19) followed by sustained and potentially heavy rainfall tomorrow afternoon and evening (14/10/19). We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are in the area clearing weed and trash screens. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and refer to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 14/10/19, or as the situation changes.
