Coronavirus (COVID-19): how we're protecting our flood warning service

for Flood alert in force now River Evenlode from Moreton in Marsh to Cassington and also the River Glyme at Wootton and Woodstock

Flooding is possible - be prepared

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels remain high in places, but continue to fall on the River Evenlode and Glyme following Storm Christoph. Therefore, the risk of flooding is reducing. Rain, sleet and potentially some snow will pass across the area for the rest of this evening (22/01/21) before clearing to leave a dry night, continuing into tomorrow morning, with the potential for some wintery showers tomorrow afternoon, 23/01/21. River levels are falling, but are sensitive to further rainfall and therefore still pose a flood risk. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are in the area clearing weed/trash screens. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 23/01/21, or as the situation changes.
