for Flood alert in force now Little Ouse River and River Thet in Suffolk and Norfolk

Flooding is possible - be prepared

River levels are high at the Redbridge river gauge as a result of the recent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible. We expect flooding to affect Little Ouse River from Rickinghall to Hockwold, including The Black Bourn, and River Thet from Attleborough to Thetford. Flooding of properties is not forecast at this point. Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high for the next 24-48 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 26/02/20, or as the situation changes.
