Flooding is possible - be prepared
River levels are slowly falling but remain high at Mattersey and Ordsall river gauges as a result of rainfall earlier this week. Consequently, flooding is expected to continue. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including the A631, roads in the Bawtry Viaduct area and Mission West and East areas. Further rainfall is forecast on Thursday, 14/11/19. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated tomorrow, Thursday, 14/11/19, or as the situation changes.
