for Flood alert in force now River Wye in Derbyshire
Flooding is possible - be prepared
River levels remain high but are continuing to fall at the Ashford river gauge. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Ashford and Bakewell areas, and the A6 at Buxton. Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated tomorrow, 25/01/21 or as the situation changes
