for Flood warning in force now River Severn at Tewkesbury

Flooding is expected - immediate action required

River levels remain high but steady at the Mythe and Tewkesbury Upper Pound river gauges as a result of heavy rainfall. Flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in and around Tewkesbury. Predicted Peaks:- at Mythe 4.25m to 4.35m Sunday afternoon, 24/01/2021; Upper Pound is peaking now at 4.38m on Sunday afternoon, 24/01/2021. No significant rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours, but we expect river levels to remain high. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and liaising with emergency services. Please avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated by 10am on Monday, 25/01/21, or as the situation changes.
