Flooding is expected - immediate action required
River levels remain high but steady at Mythe river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in and around Bushley. Predicted Peaks:- at Mythe 4.25m to 4.35m this afternoon, Sunday 24/01/21, Upper Pound is peaking now at 4.38m on Sunday afternoon, 24/01/2021. No significant rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours, but we expect river levels to remain high. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and roads near local watercourses and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated by 10am on Monday, 25/01/21, or as the situation changes.
