for Flood warning in force now River Severn at Minsterworth and Stonebench

Flooding is expected - immediate action required

This warning has been re-issued due to revised predicted peaks for Gloucester Docks. River levels continue to rise at the Gloucester river gauge as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding continues. Properties may be affected in and around Minsterworth Ham and Stonebench. Flooding may occur at Minsterworth Ham from overtopping of a build-up of water behind the earth flood embankment. River levels at Gloucester are predicted to peak between 4.3 and 4.5m on Wednesday morning, 19/02/2020. Scattered showers are expected over the next 24 hours with further prolonged rainfall forecast from midday on Wednesday, 19/02/20. We expect river levels to remain high for the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. This message will be updated by 3am on Wednesday, 19/02/20, or as the situation changes.
