Coronavirus (COVID-19): how we're protecting our flood warning service

for Flood alert in force now Mersey Estuary at Warrington

Flooding is possible - be prepared

The high tide is expected to be higher than usual at Warrington as a result of exceptionally high tides. Consequently flooding of low lying land, roads and farmland is expected/possible between 02:15 and 04:00 tomorrow, 20/10/20. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for low lying land and roads in the following places: Fiddlers Ferry between 02:15 and 03:30, Eastford Road between 02:30 and 03:45, and Arpley Bridge between 02:45 and 04:00. It is possible that river levels may affect Arpley Road under the railway bridge. Coastal conditions are expected to continue until after the high tides at 14:15 on 20/10/20 at Liverpool. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will update flood alerts as necessary. Please be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 20/10/20, or as the situation changes.
