for Flood alert in force now The River Dee Catchment in England from Whitchurch to Chester

Flooding is possible - be prepared

The water levels on the River Dee remain high as a result of the recent storms. Levels have reduced following the peak on Monday 17/02/20 from Storm Dennis, however we are currently expecting that they will rise again today (21/02/2020) and tomorrow (22/02/2020) as a result of new rainfall. We expect river levels will remain above the flood alert threshold over the weekend. We are monitoring the situation closely. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for low lying land and roads around the River Dee at Shocklach, Farndon, Handley, Lower Kinnerton, Chester and Puddington. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue flood warnings if necessary. Please be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation. This message will be updated tomorrow, 22/02/2020 or as the situation changes.
