for Flood alert in force now Ea Beck catchment

Flooding is possible - be prepared

This flood alert remains in force. Ea Beck Outfall is currently operating and levels in the lower reaches still remain high. Further scattered showers are expected through this evening and into Tuesday 12/11/2019, however, we do not currently expect this to have any further significant impact on river levels. We continue to monitor the situation from our incident room. Please plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Looking ahead we are expecting a band of frontal rain to move across the catchments from the west on Thursday night. This will be locally heavy, particularly for high ground exposed to the south and south-east. Given the wet condition of the catchment, we expect to see the rivers respond. Visit GOV.UK for a 5 day flood forecast. This message will be updated by 03:30 on 12/11/2019 or as the situation changes.
