Coronavirus (COVID-19): how we're protecting our flood warning service

for Flood alert in force now Middle River Aire catchment

Flooding is possible - be prepared

River levels remain elevated across the Middle River Aire Catchment as a result of persistent rainfall. The main band of rain associated with Storm Christoph has now passed. However, there is still a risk of flooding of property, roads and farmland across the catchment and flood warnings are remain in force at Cottingley and Shipley. Please put your flood plan into action and activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers. Avoid using low-lying footpaths near watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid roads which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 12:35, 22/01/2021 or as the situation changes.
