for Flood warning in force now River Don at Moorends and Thorne

Flooding is expected - immediate action required

River levels in the Lower River Don remain high. We are expecting scattered showers throughout today (Tuesday, 12/11/19), however we do not currently expect this to have any significant impact on river levels. Looking ahead we are expecting a band of rain to move across the catchments broadly from the east on Thursday night. This will be locally heavy, particularly for high ground exposed to the south and south-east. Given the wet condition of the catchment, we expect to see the rivers respond. Please visit GOV.UK for a 5 day flood forecast. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident room remains open. Our staff have deployed pumps, people and equipment. To report any flood impacts please call 0800 80 70 60. This message will be updated by 05:14 on 13/11/2019, or as the situation changes.
