for Flood warning in force now River Went at Topham Ferry, Sykehouse

Flooding is expected - immediate action required

River levels on the Went remain high as a result of the recent heavy rainfall. Higher spring tides for the remainder of this week will work to hold river levels up. In addition we are expecting a band of rain to move across South Yorkshire from early evening/overnight on 14 November. Given the wet ground conditions, we expect local rivers to respond, and are monitoring the situation closely. Please remain vigilant and visit GOV.UK for a 5 day flood forecast. Put your flood plan into action and have a bag ready with vital items like medicines and insurance documents. To report any flooding, please call 0800 80 70 60. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident room remains open. This message will be updated by 20:45 on 13/11/2019, or as the situation changes.
