for Flood alert in force now Upper River Hull catchment
Flooding is possible - be prepared
The flood alert for the Upper River Hull Catchment remains in force, due to high levels on the River Hull, in particular around Frodingham Bridge. Flooding of low-lying land and roads is possible overnight on Thursday and into Friday 22/1/2021. The river has risen in response to recent rainfall. We expect river levels to remain high, however no further significant rainfall is expected in the next 24 hours. We are closely monitoring the drain levels and pumping arrangements. See the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast and river levels. Please avoid low lying land and footpaths near local watercourses. We are closely monitoring the situation and will update this message on Friday morning, or as the situation changes.
