Flooding is possible - be prepared

The flood alert for the Tidal River Ouse from Naburn Lock to Selby remains in force as river levels have risen as a result of recent rainfall in the upper catchment. Consequently, flooding of property/roads and farmland is possible from today, Thursday 25/02/2021. Areas most at risk are low lying land and roads. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast. This message will be updated on Friday morning, 26/02/2021, or as the situation changes.
