Flooding is expected - immediate action required

River Ouse levels are continuing to rise as a result of rainfall from Storm Dennis. Flooding of property and roads is expected. Areas most at risk are access roads and properties in Naburn and Acaster Malbis. The river level has reached 3.9m at 9pm. This is the level we expect roads in the vicinity of Naburn to begin flooding. Property flooding is expected to begin when the level at York reaches 4.6m; this is expected during Monday afternoon (17/02/20). Levels will keep rising to around 4.8m overnight on Monday (17/02/20). For the latest river levels, see the gov.uk website. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our Area Incident Room is open. Please avoid contact with flood water.
