Flooding is expected - immediate action required
The flood warning remains in force for the River Derwent at Buttercrambe Mill due to heavy rain. Consequently, there remains a risk of flooding to property. Levels on the River Derwent at Buttercrambe are rising slowly and are currently 2.5m. Levels are expected to continue to rise slowly through Friday, 22/01/2021. The weather is forecast to remain unsettled with wintry showers for the next couple of days, but further rainfall totals are expected to be low. Please avoid walking or driving through floodwater and visit the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast. We are closely monitoring the situation. This message will be updated on Friday afternoon, 22/01/2021, or as the situation changes.
