Flooding is expected - immediate action required
This warning remains in force as levels remain high on Winestead Drain following heavy rainfall last week and on Thursday and Friday. Areas most at risk are Patrington Haven at Winestead Drain downstream from the Winestead Booster. Levels will remain elevated due to tide lock conditions when the drain is unable to discharge into the Humber. Scattered showers are expected today, 17/11/2019. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the situation from the incident room and we have staff operating pumps as required and clearing trash screens. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and avoid driving through any floodwater. This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes. See the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast.
