Flooding is possible - be prepared
River levels are high but steady at the Great Somerford river gauge following recent rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. We believe the road at Reybridge is likely to be flooded. Further light showery rainfall is forecast for today Friday 17th January. River levels are steady, but still pose a flood risk. We expect river levels to remain high into the weekend. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are clearing weed screens and in contact with community flood wardens and volunteers. Please check with emergency services that it is safe to return home and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 18/01/20, or as the situation changes.
