Flooding is expected - immediate action required
River levels rose rapidly earlier today, Thursday 14/11/2019, as a result of persistent rainfall. River levels have now peaked but there remains a possibility of flooding for the Sampford Mill Farm area. Some scattered rainfall is forecast overnight, however the forecast improves thereafter with very low rainfall expected through Friday and Saturday. We expect river levels to remain high until Friday morning 15/11/2019. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated on Friday morning, or earlier if the situation changes.
