Flood alert for River Bourne and tributaries
River levels remain high on the River Bourne due to high groundwater levels. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Bourne with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around tributaries between Aughton and Laverstock. The forecast is till Thursday 25th apart from isolated showers. Further heavy rainfall is forecast on Friday. We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert if necessary. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk, cycle or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 5:00 PM on 25/04/2024, or as the situation changes.
