Groundwater flooding in the West of Dorset flood alert area

Groundwater levels at boreholes across the West of Dorset have dropped back.

The risk of flooding from groundwater has receded for the time being.

The weather will remain settled during the week ahead with a band of moderate rainfall crossing the region at the weekend. Groundwater levels are still very high and will respond to any period of heavy rain. Our staff will continue to monitor the situation and will re-issue this warning should our groundwater forecasts indicated an increased risk of flooding.
