for Flood warning no longer in force Lower River Ems

Last time in force:

River levels are still high on the Ems, but have now peaked, and are slowly falling through Westbourne and Emsworth, after Storm Dennis's widespread heavy rain. Flood impacts will ease, but may continue to affect fields, gardens and roads until river levels fall further. No new property flooding is expected. Please continue to take care in, and around flood affected areas, flood water can contain hidden dangers. Rain has now cleared, and only isolated showers are expected until Thursday 20/2/2020. These showers are unlikely to cause river levels to rise significantly, if at all, but river levels will not fall by much, unless we see a few weeks of dry weather. We will continue to operate our structure at Constant Springs, and clear grilles to help manage flood risk. We will continue to monitor the levels and forecast and will re-issue messages if the risk of flooding increases.
