Thorney Island to Bracklesham flood alert area

Saturday's early morning tide at 01:45 on 30/03/2024 is forecast to be lower than recent days, and accompanied by light South Westerly Force 2 winds. The weather still increases tide table values by 0.28 m. The total forecast tide is 4.73 metres Chart Datum (1.99 mAOD) at Chichester Harbour. Each tide will now be lower than the last, for the next week. Strong winds and large waves are possible Tuesday and Wednesday 03/04/2024, but with tides very low, no more than minimal flood impacts and spray are expected over the week ahead. We continue to monitor the forecast. We will re issue this Flood Alert if the risk of flooding increases.
