for Flood warning no longer in force Fittleworth on the Western Rother

Last time in force:

River levels are still high on the Western Rother, but have now peaked and are falling steadily through Fittleworth, after Storm Dennis' widespread heavy rain. Flood impacts will continue to ease, but are still high enough to affect fields, gardens, roads and be very close to properties. A Flood Alert remains in force to account for these impacts. No new property flooding is expected today. Please continue to take care in, and around, flood affected areas, flood water can contain hidden dangers. A small amount of rain is predicted Tuesday and Wednesday, which shouldn’t affect river levels significantly. Rain on Thursday 20/2/2020, may cause river levels to rise again, and potentially see flood risk return. Please remain prepared for the possibility of flooding to return later in the week.
