Flooding is expected - immediate action required
Storm Dennis has brought 50 mm of rain so far. River levels are now rising in Pulborough, and are predicted to rise throughout Sunday night, and property flooding is possible from 02:00 (17/02/2020). River levels are now working their way down the Upper Arun. Impacts may potentially be equal to, or greater than, Christmas 2019. Flood water will be widespread and also affect fields, gardens and roads. Locations could include, properties close to Swan Bridge, the A29 and close to Carpenters Meadow and Swan View. With only isolated showers through to midweek, river levels should begin to fall by Tuesday 18/02/2020. Plan to avoid driving through routes vulnerable to flooding, such as the A29 through Pulborough. Our pumps in Pulborough are running to help reduce the risk of flooding, and we have extra pumps on site if they are needed. We will update this message by 15:00 on 17/2/2020.
