Flood alert for Groundwater flooding in Littleton, Headbourne, Kings and Martyr Worthy, Easton and Chilland

Groundwater levels are high but falling slowly. At our borehole in Harestock, the level peaked on Saturday 13/04/2024 and has since fallen by 11cm. Groundwater will currently be impacting Springvale Road through Kings Worthy. Today 16/04/2024, a small amount of rain (up to 7mm) is forecast in Hampshire. From Wednesday 17/04/2024 to Saturday 20/04/2024, minimal rain is expected. Groundwater levels are expected to continue falling slowly. If dry weather continues to be forecast next week, then we will remove this Flood Alert. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. Please remain prepared for further flooding impacts as groundwater levels will be sensitive to further rainfall. This Flood Alert will be updated or removed by 18:00 on Tuesday 23/04/2024.
