for Flood alert in force now Ravensbourne area in the London Boroughs of Lewisham, Bromley, Greenwich and Croydon

Flooding is possible - be prepared

River levels are forecast to rise as a result of localised thunderstorms this evening. Consequently, flooding of low lying land and areas close to the river is possible this evening between 7pm and 10pm, 14/10/19. There is a lot of uncertainty around location of the heaviest rainfall and any flooding will likely be localised. We are closely monitoring the situation and will issue further messages if necessary. Our incident response staff have been out during the day clearing trash screens. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 15/10/19 by 9am or as the situation changes.
