Flooding is possible - be prepared

Flood alert for Lower River Colne and Frays River

River levels remain high on the River Colne, Frays, Wraysbury and Poyle Channel, following rainfall throughout February and March. Due to the ground being saturated, the river is sensitive to further rainfall and levels have risen again this week. Flooding will continue to affect locations near the River Colne, Frays, Wraysbury and Poyle Channel, with low lying land most affected, particularly around Longford but we do not currently expect property flooding. Further showers are possible on Thursday 28th March and Friday 29th March so we are continuing to monitor river levels and are checking rivers for blockages in the area. Please monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10am on Friday 29th March, or as the situation changes.

Flood alert area: The Lower River Colne and Frays River at Uxbridge, West Drayton, Poyle and Stanwell Moor.
