for Flood alert in force now Ginge Brook

Flooding is possible - be prepared

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are high on the Ginge Brook after Storm Dennis, and water remains out of the river banks. Therefore, flooding of low-lying land, footpaths and roads is expected to continue. No further rain is forecast today (21/02/20). A band of cloud and light rain is forecast to cross the area overnight with the chance of showers on Saturday. We expect river levels to remain high over the coming days, but they should slowly start to drop. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have been in the area clearing trash screens. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings, and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Please refer to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow, 22/02/20, or as the situation changes.
