Flood alert for River Thames from Datchet to Shepperton Green

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are rising on the River Thames as a result of a period of sustained rain. Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected today 29/03/24, especially in the Egham area. Further showers are forecast today, while tomorrow 30/03/24 is expected to be mainly dry. We expect river levels to continue to rise before peaking at the weekend. Our staff are managing weirs on the River Thames to reduce flood risk. We are monitoring the situation. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels, and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated by tomorrow morning, 30/03/24, or as the situation changes.
