for Flood alert in force now River Thames and tributaries from Buscot Wick down to Kings Lock

Flooding is possible - be prepared

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels remain high on the River Thames from Buscot Wick to Kings Lock as a result of rainfall over the last week. The river is out of banks in various places along the Thames, therefore, flooding of low lying roads and farmland is expected to continue. The forecast is mostly dry today and we expect river levels to remain steady or to slowly start to fall. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are operating weirs to reduce flood risk. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and refer to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated this evening, 19/11/2019, or as the situation changes.
