Flooding is possible - be prepared

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels on the River Kennet are still high but stable between Ramsbury and Newbury. Elsewhere, levels on the River Kennet are lower and within banks. The risk of flooding to low-lying land, roads and footpaths remains in the Knighton area and will remain for sometime. Levels are expected to remain high over the coming days in this area and will be sensitive to further rainfall. Please remain aware of your local surroundings and stay safe by avoiding contact with flood water. The weather forecast is for today and tomorrow to be mainly dry. Please refer to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels and remain safe and aware of your local surroundings. This message will be updated tomorrow, 08/04/20, or if the situation changes.
