Flood alert for River Windrush from Bourton to Newbridge

Property flooding is not currently expected.

River levels remain high and are gradually rising on the River Windrush following recent rainfall. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue through today in the areas near Bourton on the Water and Newbridge. Further heavy rainfall showers are forecast today, 28/03/2024, and overnight. River levels are expected to continue rising today. Levels will remain high and sensitive to further rainfall over the coming days .

We are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 29/03/2024, or as the situation changes.
