Flooding is possible - be prepared
Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels remain high on the River Dikler following recent rainfall from Storm Dennis. The risk of flooding remains, and water is close to spilling out of its banks along its length. No further rain is forecast today (21/02/20). A band of cloud and light rain is forecast to cross the area overnight with the chance of showers on Saturday. River levels are stable but still pose a flood risk, and will be sensitive to further rainfall over the coming days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have been in the area checking defences and clearing trash screens. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and refer to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow, 22/02/20, or as the situation changes.
