Coronavirus (COVID-19): how we're protecting our flood warning service

for Flood alert in force now Tributaries of the lower River Witham from Blankney to Sleaford

Flooding is possible - be prepared

Over the last week we have seen heavy rainfall across the North Kesteven area, which has caused the rivers and groundwater levels to react. This means river levels will continue to remain high today, Wednesday 27th January, and for the next few days, resulting in flooding of low lying land and roads close to the river. Flooding to properties is not likely and therefore flood warnings are not expected to be issued at this time. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. We are constantly monitoring river levels, and have staff in the field checking for blockages and clearing trash screens. This message will be updated on Thursday, 28th January, or as the situation changes.
