Flooding is possible - be prepared
Over the past few weeks we have seen heavy and prolonged rainfall across North Lincolnshire. This means that the groundwater levels across the South of the Humber Estuary have risen and leading to increased river flows. River levels also remain high in the Humber tributaries. We expect both groundwater and river levels to remain high throughout the next few days. We are constantly monitoring river levels, and have staff in the field checking for blockages and clearing weedscreens. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated on Thursday 21st November, or as the situation changes.
