Flooding is possible - be prepared
River levels are rising at the Sutton Gault river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall in the upper catchment earlier this week. This information is correct as of 15:30 on Sunday 19 January. The causeway at Sutton Gault has approximately 68 centimetres of water on the road. Due to the uneven surface of the road, water may be deeper in places. The Environment Agency are liaising with Cambridgeshire Highways, who have decided to close the road. This alert applies to SUTTON GAULT CAUSEWAY ONLY. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated by 08:00 on Monday 20 January or as the situation changes.
