Coronavirus (COVID-19): how we're protecting our flood warning service

for Flood alert in force now Lower River Great Ouse in Central Bedfordshire, Bedford Borough and Cambridgeshire

Flooding is possible - be prepared

River levels remain high at the Tempsford (Roxton) river gauge and are continuing to rise at St Ives river gauge as a result of recent rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible today, Friday 15/01/2021. We expect flooding to affect River Great Ouse from Wyboston to Earith, including Hen Brook, Fox Brook, Brampton Brook, Back Brook, Hall Green Brook, Parsons Drove Drain, Swavesey Drain and Wadsbys Folly. No rainfall is forecast today but further rain is possible tomorrow, Saturday 16/01/2021. We expect river levels to continue to rise during today. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated this afternoon Friday 15 January, or as the situation changes.
