Flooding is possible - be prepared
River levels are high at the Pillings Lock river gauge. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland continues. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Slash Lane at Sileby and the Mountsorrel to Sileby road. Further rainfall is forecast overnight from Sunday into Monday. We expect river levels to remain high throughout today, 23/02/2020 and into Monday. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers which may be flooded, and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast. This message will be updated on Monday morning, 24/02/20, or as the situation changes.
