for Flood alert in force now Rugeley Trent

Flooding is possible - be prepared

River levels are high but steady at the Aston Bridge river level gauge as a result of the heavy and persistent rainfall over the weekend and are expected to begin fall today (17/02/20). Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. There is further unsettled weather forecast for the week ahead, so we are continuing to closely monitor the situation, and our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may still be flooded. This message will be updated later today, 17/02/20, or if the situation changes.
