Coronavirus (COVID-19): how we're protecting our flood warning service

for Flood alert in force now River Anker and River Sence

Flooding is possible - be prepared

River levels have risen at the Temple Mill river gauge as a result of overnight rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Flooding is affecting low-lying land and roads adjacent to the River Anker between Nuneaton and Tamworth the River Sence between Temple Mill and Ratcliffe Culey. No further heavy rainfall is forecast overnight, but we expect river levels to remain high for the rest of this evening, 16/01/21. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 17/01/21, or as the situation changes.
