Flooding is possible - be prepared
River levels are falling at the Lilbourne river gauge as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Flooding is affecting low-lying land and roads adjacent to River Avon between Stanford and Rugby, River Swift between Cosford and Rugby and Clay Coton Brook between Yelvertoft and Lilbourne. The weather outlook is improving and no further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated tomorrow morning 18/11/19, or as the situation changes.
