for Flood alert in force now Rivers Frome and Cam
Flooding is possible - be prepared
River levels are high but steady at the Brimscombe river gauge as a result of recent rainfall. Flooding of roads and farmland is expected to continue. Flooding is affecting low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from Elmore to Sharpness. Other locations that may be affected include Chalford, Leonard Stanley and Cambridge. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated by 10 am on Sunday the 28/02/21, or as the situation changes.
