for Flood alert in force now Ledwyche Brook and River Rea
Flooding is possible - be prepared
River levels have risen at the Burford Bridge river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Flooding continues. We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the Ledyche Brook and River Rea. Locations that may be affected include Cleobury Mortimer, Neen Sollars and Caynham. No further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high for the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and clearing weed screens. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 11am on Friday, 22/01/21, or as the situation changes.
