for Flood alert in force now River Lugg North of Leominster

Flooding is possible - be prepared

River levels have risen at the Byton river gauge due to heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Flooding is affecting low lying land and roads to the River Lugg north of Leominster. Locations that may be affected include Yarpole, Mortimers Cross, Kingsland and the B4362. Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until the end of the week. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
