for Flood alert in force now River Worfe

Flooding is possible - be prepared

River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Burcote river gauge as a result of Storm Dennis. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Flooding is affecting low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from Crackley Bank to Bridgnorth. Other locations that may be affected include Ryton and Burcote. Scattered showers are expected this morning with further prolonged rainfall forecast this afternoon and overnight 19/02/2020. We expect river levels to remain high. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 4pm on Wednesday 19/02/2020 or as the situation changes.
